My student is not part of a youth group; can he/she attend alone?
Students have to be a part of a group to attend Youth 2011. We would suggest your student find a local church group that is attending and go with them. If you would like for us to help you locate groups from your area, please send an email to info@youth2011.org with your city, state, and zip code.

What ratio of adults to youth will be attending Youth 2011?
Complying with UMC Safe Sanctuary policy, groups will need at least one adult for every five youth and at least two per group reflecting the gender mix of their group.

Will my unique youth group enjoy this event?
Youth 2011 was designed by a diverse team of 27 youth and youth leaders from all around the country (and one youth leader from the Philippines!) We are confident that no matter what the makeup of your group, Youth 2011 will have something that will inspire, challenge, teach and entertain your youth.

Will attending this event be worth missing our summer mission trip?
We know what it’s like for the local church. You probably don’t have the budget for Youth 2011 and a mission trip, so the choice will ultimately be one or the other. However, this does not have to be an either/or situation! In an effort to accommodate groups trying to make this tough decision and better serve the communities around the Y11 sites, we want to help you set up mission opportunities in the days before or the days after the event in the West Lafayette and Sacramento areas. Check back soon for a mission opportunity list to see some options for your group to make the journey to Youth 2011 not only an impactful event for your students, but also for the communities surrounding the sites. Daily on-site missions will also be offered at Youth 2011.
